The Vermont Coders Connection present Sam Putnam,  CEO of Enterprise Deep Learning of New Hampshire will provide an introduction to Machine Learning and its applications, with particular emphasis on Healthcare, Finance, Energy, and Commerce.

A subset of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning is the process by which a computer learns from data. Machine Learning is used to provide Google search results, automatically read checks in ATMs, and deliver automated captions to Youtube videos.

Machine learning can be used to predict equipment failure and mitigate risk, detect objects in an assembly line, diagnose medical images, predict electrical energy use, identify economic trends, analyze satellite images, and create exciting real-time graphics experiences on mobile devices.
