The Vermont Technology Alliance is hosting a networking event at the Black River Innovation Campus (BRIC) in Springfield, Vermont, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25. The vtTA is partnering with BRIC to introduce tech and other business leaders and representatives to this tech-focused center in a remodeled school building in Springfield.
Springfield was once the center of Vermont’s innovation economy. Today, like other Vermont communities, Springfield has struggled to reinvent itself. The Springfield Regional Development Corporation (SRDC) and the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI) have partnered with other local, state, and national organizations to catalyze Springfield’s transformation to a digital economy with the launch of the Black River Innovation Campus. Powered by 10 gigabit speed broadband, the campus is focused on three areas: work space for those working remotely for technology companies, an entrepreneurship center to help start-up tech firms, and computer science and digital training for residents and students.
Come network and learn about this initiative to drive Springfield’s digital economy and what it could mean for developing rural tech opportunities in other parts of Vermont.
The event features networking with food and drink from local businesses, brief presentations from tenants and program leaders, and a tour of the facility.
The cost for this event is $10 for vtTA Members and $15 for non-members. (Not a vtTA member yet? Sign up here).
Register and pay online using PayPal, or via check or credit card invoice. You can also register by contacting Ginny at email@example.com.
