Recruiting the employees needed to fill current and future tech job opportunities in Vermont has been a priority for Vermont’s tech sector and other industries in the state.

The Vermont Technology Alliance was an advocate for funding to promote Vermont as a place for a great career in  addition to a place to vacation, which led to the creation of a Vermont economic development marketing plan and the Think Vermont campaign.

Join the Vermont Technology Alliance for a Let’s Tech Together lunch and learn session featuring a discussion on Vermont’s economic development marketing and recruitment programs and plans with Joan Goldstein, Vermont Commissioner of Economic Development and Robbie Adler, Co-Founder and Chief Strategic Officer for Faraday.

Joan will highlight some of the activities under way and new proposals to market Vermont for economic development and to recruit workers to the state.  She’ll discuss efforts such as the Remote Worker Incentive, Stay-to-Stay weekends, earned media coverage, and a new relocation incentive proposal to attract people to jobs in Vermont.

Robbie will discuss Faraday’s contract with the state to identify potential candidates that are most likely to move to Vermont through the use of artificial intelligence to target outreach and engagement.

This session is an opportunity to hear an update on economic development marketing and recruitment programs – particularly as they support the tech sector – ask questions, and network with those who are members of and interested in Vermont’s tech community.

The Vermont Technology Alliance presents “Let’s Tech Together” networking and information sessions to highlight the unique businesses, organizations and programs that are driving tech innovation and job opportunities in all areas of Vermont’s economy.
