The leaders of the Distributed Ledger Governance Association (DLGA), have announced the founding members and partners of the DLGA to help drive commercialization of blockchain applications and work with the various State of Vermont agencies to explore the productive uses of distributed ledgers in Vermont business and government.
The DLGA was founded in December 2018 and has been expanding the membership to include organizations both within the Vermont business community and around the globe with an interest in implementing meaningful projects to advance the real world use of Blockchain technology.
The 15 founding members include 8 prominent blockchain software development and platform companies from as far away as California and Toronto Canada. In addition there are 7 local Vermont business organizations that will be assisting the members to conceptualize, plan and implement distributed ledger projects throughout Vermont with a variety of use cases including healthcare, citizen engagement, energy, supply chain, property transfer and finance.
Vermont is leading the country to encourage responsible technology innovation that has the potential to spur economic development through including jobs, across Vermont and beyond.
DLGA Executive Director, Jeremy Friesen, remarked "We are pleased to see such a high profile group of members for the founding class. We have even more firms that are in discussions about joining both within Vermont and beyond and expect to announce many more in the coming months.”
