The Vermont Technology Alliance is inviting nominations for the 2019 Vermont Tech Jam Awards.
These annual awards recognize outstanding businesses, organizations and individuals who are making an impact on Vermont’s tech landscape. We’ve changed the award categories to create opportunities for recognition of a broad range of businesses and individuals.
What Vermont tech business stands out? What new or growing business is making its mark in Vermont’s tech scene? Who is a leading champion of Vermont’s tech ecosystem? This is your chance to help them get recognized.
Nominations are being accepted in three categories:
Tech Business of the Year Award
This award recognizes a tech-focused or tech-enabled Vermont business or organization whose products, services or business demonstrates innovation, success, market impact or momentum. Businesses from a range of sectors are eligible, including software, IT, manufacturing, energy, bioscience, telecommunications and others.
Emerging Tech Business Award
This award recognizes a tech-focused Vermont business that is gaining attention and recognition for its progress, success, market potential and growth. This could be a start-up or newer business, or an established business that is moving to the next level.
Tech Champion Award
This award recognizes an individual making a mark in the growth of Vermont’s tech ecosystem. This could be an entrepreneur instrumental in the success and development of a Vermont technology-focused business, or individuals in business, academia, non-profits or government whose work supports, promotes and enables the awareness and growth of Vermont’s tech economy and ecosystem.

How it works:
All nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019. To make a nomination, please complete this form; be sure to include a brief statement to support your nomination.
Anyone can nominate themselves or someone else. You may enter as many nominations in each category as you like. You may not nominate the same business or individual more than once in a category. A nominee entered in multiple categories is eligible to win only one award. Make your descriptions succinct and speak to the award description.
NOTE: to nominate in more than one category you must complete a second form; one form per nomination. Please do not enter the same nominee multiple times in the same category.
Once nominations are received, a panel of judges will review the entries and select up to five finalists in each category for a public vote. If not enough qualifying nominations are received for an award category, the judges may decide not to present the award for this year.
Public voting on Tech Jam Award finalists will take place October 7 through 14, 2019. Awards will be presented at the Vermont Tech Jam on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Winners receive a Tech Jam Award statue and the recognition (and bragging rights) that come with being a Tech Jam Award winner!
