As Dealer.com strives to achieve Cox Enterprise’s company-wide “Zero Waste to Landfill” by 2024 goal, the company celebrated a best-in-class recognition on an internal ranking system of waste diversion.
Measured at 82% by Cox Conserves, the company’s sustainability division, Dealer.com’s diversion rate is an exemplary model in the business community toward Vermont’s own sustainability goals. Dealer.com’s latest diversion rate milestones already far exceed the statewide goal of increasing diversion rates to 50% by 2024.
Dealer.com recognized its employees with a ceremony honoring the ongoing dedication by team members to create a greener workplace. Since 2007, the Cox Automotive family of brands has been committed to the company's sustainability goals of achieving zero waste sent to the landfill by 2024 and attaining water and energy neutrality by 2044.
Dealer.com reached this 2019 accomplishment through a yearlong pledge to implement new initiatives to its already eco-friendly offices, such as adding 15 additional 3-stream waste stations and the removal of deskside waste bins, as well as employee engagement events like can donations for non-profits and an eWaste electronics collection of more than 2,600 lbs. of electronics.
In conjunction with Cox Automotive and Cox Conserves, the Dealer.com Green Team is committed to building environmentally sustainable communities.
